We would like you to raise awareness of the services we provide, enabling more teachers to receive support and benefit from the extensive information available. We publish a regular e-newsletter specifically targeted at education staff in Wales.
Through the e-newsletter, you will raise the profile of national and local issues and the support services available to education staff.
The placement will involve:
• researching best practice
• sourcing news, issues, articles relevant to teaching
• writing copy
• Using twitter and other social media methods
You will receive support from the London based Head of Marketing and Cardiff based Development Manager.
• Improved ability to reach our target audience
• Stories specifically for Wales
• Input of fresh ideas, new perspective
• Opportunity to innovate
• Valuable experience to add to your CV.
• Gain experience of media work and journalism.
• A practical trial for a career choice without the long term commitment of a formal contract.
• Insight and experience of Third Sector organisations.
• Journalism or interest in teaching
• Good organisational skills, including the ability to meet agreed deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience of Microsoft® Office and email systems
• Able to use own initiative
• Written and spoken Welsh language would be useful but not essential
